I have most of my backups in the house, most is even in the same room,
so a fire or theft could cause big problems. However, I decided to
start using SpiderOak a few months back for all important stuff, so
this makes me feel a little bit more safe.

Google Code is of course handling the open sourced stuff and they
hopefully have good backups on their stuff.
