It may just be a loose power connection.  Check this by wiggling the
power connection at the player, see if this causes a reboot.
Could be a failing PSU as well.

And, no, "losing WiFi" is not normal.  What is the WiFi signal strength
on your player?  Possible interference near by?  Router failing?
