Hi.... When tossed my old router and got the Netgear, it pretty much solved all of the frustrating problems I'd been having with our original Duet setup. Since then it's been total smooth sailing...with the Duet, Touch, and, now, our Revue.
Over on the Revue forums someone had this suggestion which several people have tried with improved results for their video streaming. I don't see any reason why this wouldn't also be worth a try for those having audio stuttering, dropouts, etc. (of course, these same issue plague the folks streaming video). This only works, of course, if your router has the capability to do this.......... Credit for bringing this up to "gbeardmore" over there: =============================================================== For those of you experiencing streaming video issues, buffering, stuttering, reverting to SD, etc. Don't know if this will help universally, but it seems to work for me. Posted this in a thread here about Amazon VOD, but it may apply to other issues... "This might not be exactly on-topic, but your Amazon VOD streaming issue may not be Revue related at all. I had the same problems with Amazon at first. My Netgear router has a setting in the "Advanced" area of the web based Router Manager called "QoS Setup". (QoS = Quality of Service) In there I am able to create QoS Rules (Priorities) for the Mac Address of any device on the network (and the Port it's attached to as well if the device is wired). I gave "Highest" priority to my Panasonic - Amazon Bluray player, and that pretty well solved my buffering and streaming issues. I did that as well for the Revue while I was in there." ========================================================================= Hope this helps a few of you! ....
