The Samsung Tab is the only current Android tablet worth discussing. It's nice but hampered a bit by a cell phone OS (Android version 2.2). Other Android tablets currently available are slow and don't have access to the Android store. There will be at least two new Android tablets early in the new year, the Motorola one and the Notion Ink. Both of these may provide the iPad with significant competition but their price will be likely comparable. http://notionink.com/ http://www.pcworld.com/article/214267/motorola_tablet_juiced_with_android_24_to_debut_at_ces.html -- jimzak http://zzzone.net http://have-a-nice-day.org http://www.last.fm/user/zzzoneDOTnet http://somethingsomethingsomething.net Ripper: dBpoweramp Router: Lynksys WRT54GL Server: SBS 7.5.2 - Atom-based nettop - Win XP SP3 Player: 2 Booms, 1 Radio, 1 Touch Control: 2 controllers, 1 iPod Touch w/iPeng, 1 iPad w/iPeng for iPad & SqueezePad 'Library' (http://zzzone.net/photo/2009/music1.jpg): 70,000+ FLAC/MP3 files - 2TB external HD x 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimzak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17592 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84226 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
