On the lower end (about US$100 a pair), I have some Polk RC60i in my kitchen that sound pretty good, although if I had to do it over again I might go for 8-inch speakers. Going up a notch or two (or three) in price and quality, I've heard good recommendations about offerings from Tannoy, Paradigm, and B&W. Search on these forums for "ceiling" or "in-ceiling" and you'll find quite a few threads on the topic.
