The problem is that all system (Classic, Webinterface, newer Squeezeboxes) use different ways to retrieve data. In this particular case code is involved, that is only called on systems that generate a menu (like Touch, Controller, Radio, SqueezePlay or SqueezePad). So other system (like Classic, System that use the CLI interface or the Web-Interface) might not be affected at all.
How many Squeezeboxes do you have? What type of stream are they playing currently? Could you please start a stream from your local collection on any Squeezebox and see if this (for now) fixes the problem?
