By popular demand, I ripped some audio books for my children the other day. Some have an incredible number of tracks - total book > 500 tracks. I worked out that initially the books would not play to the end because there's a limit on the playlist. I forget what it was - seemed reasonable. Anyway, increasing this solved the problem. However, even having this many files in the file tree turns out to be a PITA. Tried to manages the tags and my tag editor took a DEEP BREATH ... and paused for a bit. So instead, I decided to rip by chapter, not track. That's nice - only 40 odd files. Trouble is that my young ones are complaining because the SB track navigation is a bit hit'n'miss. Now, I read somewhere that someone's invented a new file format / tagging system that allows one to mark points within a track? And then navigate to those "soft points"? Does that ring a bell with anyone? Is that something the SB will support? And if so, how do I go about it?
Thank you very much. -- ovonrein ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ovonrein's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2130 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85516 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
