I personally think it is essential to improve the remote response times: I don't mind waiting for a search or browse function providing I'm aware that something is going on; but getting no response at all is both confusing and frustrating. I also think it would be useful to be able to cancel tasks that are taking too long: I seem to regularly accidentally ask the server to play 'everything' (I'm pretty stupid, I know), and my server literally goes away for minutes! It's usually quicker for me to ssh in and restart slimserver than wait for it to come back of it's own accord. -- Patrick Dixon www.at-view.co.uk _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
