Hurray, it's my birthday today!
And guess what - you don't need to prepare any presents, because I
thought I just make a present for you!
SqueezePad 1.7.2 will be available on your AppStore now.
Version 1.7.2 adds the following enhancements:
- a small favorites button now appears on the bottom of the left
menu, giving you fast access to your favorites from every menu
- playback now supports native FLAC decoding: saves a lot of
bandwidth when you have a FLAC library
- gapless playback: when you have a playlist, Squeezepad already
starts to download the next song in the background. As you are used
from your Squeezebox one song then starts right after the other
without any gaps
- playback synchronization support: yes you can sync the iPad now to
another Squeezebox and they will start their streams (almost)
simultaneously.
Then - as the song progresses the streams get in sync even more.
Please note that the iPad audio-system is very different to that of a
SqueezeBox though - sometimes it takes 15-30 seconds until the streams
can be fully synced.
- fixed a small bug when on rare occasions the 'connection' window
did not disappear
As always: if anything is not working as you expect don't hesitate to
contact [email protected]. If you just write an AppStore comment I
have no chance to ask you important questions about your environment.
And most of the time it's the environment that causes trouble ;)
By the way: you might notice the new favorites button has the shape of
a heart. All men out there: pretend it's your valentines day gift!

One further notice: after more than 6 big feature releases in just 6
months (take a ride back in history in my blog:

short break (4 - 6 weeks) from iPad programming.
After that (based on the poll

requests I also often receive by mail) I'll be starting out to
implement:
- a portrait mode
- improved support for player synchronization
- some way to give you bigger images to scroll through the albums of
your library.
