Hi there I run a Touch, Radio and Boom off a USB hdd. The whole thing runs off my wireless router, a BT HomeHub.
Now, I know this is a little out-there, but I'm trying to explore all the options... In the last few months around (but not exactly when) I've had the SB system, my internet provider (British Telecom) has been telling me I've almost been busting my monthly broadband allowance, using 8, 9 or 10gb per month. Problem is, I don't do anything heavy on the Internet and am mystified as to how I can use so much. I email, surf (websites, YouTube etc). I don't download or share music, videos etc, or even do online gaming. Occasioanlly I'll watch a streaming movie on iPlayer, but never more than once per month. There's nothing there that should bust my usage limits So my question is this: is there anyway that the Squeezebox could be affecting my usage..? The system is permanently connected so I'm wondering if there's anyway it can impact my online usage..?
