Both Ethernet and WiFi have significant latency, so you will not find any normal sound cards with this capability. The Squeezebox (in all its permutations) is the closest you get. Good for music and radio, but you don't want to use it for an application that requires perfect synchronization between video and audio, for instance.
There are probably some proprietary wireless solutions out there, but I don't know which. If you want a wired connection to your sourd card, why don't you simply go for USB or FireWire? Both have latency (as have all sound cards), but much more predictable and controllable than any TCP/IP-based connection AFAIK. -- Soulkeeper -that is not dead which can eternal lie. and with strange aeons even death may die.- touch + duet + boom + radio / wrt160n/dd-wrt / sbs 7.5.1 or higher/win7(32b)/avira free ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85991 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
