Hi, I have 4 Squeezebox Booms (firmware 52) and 1 Squeezebox Radio (firmware 7.5.3-r9283). They are all synchronized and have been for years.
Recently (2 weeks ago?), all of them updated their firmware. Ever since then, synchronization is extremely buggy. Problem: 1. I initiate playback on one of the devices 2. All units begin playing* 3. After some time (few seconds to a few minutes), one or more players stop playing. The display of these units still show as if they are playing. Adjusting volume up/down has no effect: there is no audio output. * occasionally, one of the units doesn't begin playing when I initiate playback Initiating playback from squeezeboxserver or from the devices themselves makes no difference. Driving me mad!
