Hi all I'm still hanging on to my Mark I Squeezebox but recently updated my cable router to one that only uses a WPA security so my squeezebox wont connect to it.
I then connected my old router directly to my mac (where I store all my music) and let the squeezebox connect to my mac via this. It obviously means I can't use internet music but apart from this it worked fine and connected with no problems. The benefit is that that router only has to do squeezebox traffic so streams really well. The problem is that when I connect the old router to my mac via ethernet I lose internet connection via the wireless router. The mac connects to the wireless router fine and gets an assigned IP but it won't connect to the net. As soon as I unplug the old router from the mac I get internet via wireless without a problem. I have dabbled in switching DHCP off in the internet but same result. I know this is a network issue but was wondering if anyone else has come across this. I would have thought there is a simple solution out there somewhere.
