Hi. I'm a new member with a frustrating problem that I hope someone can help with. I've searched the Forum to see if this problem has been discussed before but coln'd find any reference. Apologies if it has been dealt with before.
I've owned an SB Classic for several years and until now it has operated very happily. Lately however the sound level on the left output channel has dropped considerably. Some signal is still getting to my receiver, because I can adjust it using the channel level controls on the receiver - (Onkyo TX-SR 803) and get the speaker levels roughly balanced, but to achieve this I have to use the maximum level on the receiver, so Im guessing the SB left output level is down 10db or so. The problem is replicated in the headphone output, so it's not RCA cables. The SB Classic is the non-wifi ethernet version and is running firmware 130. I'm running Slimserver 7.5.1 on an XP box which I have re-installed since discovering the problem with no improvement. Re-powering the SB Classic doesn't resolve the problem either. So I'm suspecting it may be a hardware issue in the SB Classic. Can anyone offer any advice on how I can diagnose this, or possibly fix it? Many thanks, Phil -- sothereiwas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sothereiwas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44982 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86431 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
