Sinatra:  Yes, thanks, I tried the option to go with setting a static IP
address.  It set that up fine (it responded with "Setup Complete"), but
then at the next step it still came back with Unable to connect to
server.

I think rbz is right, that the outage and subsequent restart (which
likely had some surge to it) damaged something in the wi-fi card.  I
have this SB3 connected to a new surge protector that I bought at the
same time I bought the SB3 (5 months ago), but here's my question:  If
the power goes out, then obviously the power to the surge protector
goes out.  How is that surge protector able to protect components
connected to it at the instant that electricity is restored and finally
comes surging back through?  

And related to this, are different manufacturers' surge protectors
created differently, so that some will offer better protection in that
situation and some won't?  The reason I ask is that my other SB3 is
connected through a surge protector made by a different manufacturer,
and that SB3 is completely fine after the power outage.  Or maybe I
just got lucky on that one....
