I just installed the 0.5 version of shairplay, forked for the mac from https://github.com/albertz/shairport
It seems to stream well (no obvious clicks on a low quality source (MLB11 radio). Perhaps --the improvements in 0.5 might help with the problems noted above, or --might be useful with waveinput for the mac.
