If I tap the Android the artwork appears in the pop-up box. Volume can be controlled by using the slider but the + and - icons appear to have no effect. Play works as does the on /off, but I'd expect them to change according to their state (i.e. pause and red respectively) but they're not.
It's like anything which submits an action works, but it's not receiving any response or passive updates.
