Yeah, I guess you're right -- I have a network that has two subnets which supports, as you say, a rather exotic setup including a full VOIP phone system. The wireless AP happens to be on the wrong subnet as far as Squeezebox is concerned. Time to move it or pick up iPeng/Squeezepad. I still don't like the idea of network software relying on broadcast or other discovery mechanisms to the exclusion of setting parameters manually.
