The first thing that 6.2 will do is trigger a full rescan of your collection. Whilst this is taking place, the performance will likely be terrible. However, if you let it get on with it and give it time to complete (probably a lot of time with that many tracks!), things should soon become nice and fast. There really needs to be a warning that this rescan is happening - if you don't use the web interface, you're none the wiser. Fortunately, the number of situations that will require another full rescan are getting fewer and fewer.
