Maybe we're looking in different places, but id3.org shows TPOS.. and no 'DISC' or "PARTINSET'... perhaps your labeller is showing different names than what it actually uses, but id3 v2.3 should be using TPOS. (In fact, id3 field names are always 4 characters...
