yes TV/ HT is controled by iRule . Getting iRule to find the iTach units was simple, configuring the iTach units is also simple each one has a webpage. And there is some help apps for windows to configure them too.
iRule builder is google app so you log in with your browser firefox works for me. Your iPad is then synced to that account so downloading your remotes to the pad is simple. This is the work intensive part it's very flexible but that means that you basically biuld every remote you want yourself some preexisting picture elements and backgrounds and buttons exist but I did a lot of my own backgrounds and buttons . You can design both landscape and portrait pages for the same " remote " and also separate phone and pad versions, macros are easy to do. The app has a lot of remote codes , in case you have a device not covered by default there is an ir learner unit you can buy. I've have not figured a way to make iRule launch other apps ? The iTach units have an api , so if you are a programmer it would be easy to interface them to any program.
