FYI, I notice that the "fixed" streams for WNYC AM & FM now show the stream to be 32k from the very beginning of the welcome message (rather than the 192k welcome message switching to 32k with the content stream, where previously it then "bombed". So that must have somehow been the problem. Why I don't understand, but I'm happy to see it works now!
