Hi Mike, Thanks for the tips! I have a few ways (besides PCs/Laptop) that I might use to access the SlimServer WebServer - a WAP (802.11b) - accessed via either a Playstation Portable (has Wifi and Browser) or a Palm LifeDrive PDA (also has Wifi and Web browsing built-in).
I realize that my SlimServer is going to be a bit underpowered. In years past I've played with Linux a bit - and on one system configured it not to start any but the most essential processes. I'm hoping that a little tweaking - as well as the fact that I'll be running on 100 Mbit switched network that has very little traffic will help me out. A possibly complicating factor... (I know... don't tell me... I'm a bit nutty...) is that I record all of my MP3 stuff only from original CDs at 320Kbps. Thanks again for your - tips - it may take me a week or so to set up - but if anyone is interested I will let you know how things work out.
