So, I uninstalled and removed prefs and logs and made sure all the program/file directories were gone and then I re-installed the daily for 30 July.
The "initial" scan of the default directory finished and I used the webUI to change the iTunes to NO and to point to the real music directory. Same result. Hang on Pre-caching artwork. I cancelled the scan from the webUI after only a couple of hours and scanner.exe is doing the same thing: not dying and taking 50% of cpu. -- pski real stereo doesn't just wake the neighbors, it -enrages- them..
