You piqued my curiosity. I read the review and looked into the Denon 1712 which led me to the Denon 1912 which I bought 2 days ago. It was on sale at my nearby stereo shop with a $150 discount and I picked it up and replaced my old Yamaha receiver. There is a substantial improvement in sound with Dolby Pro Logic II giving my stereo flac tracks a surround sound feel. I know this is sacrilege to the audiophiles and many others but I really like the sound from a multichannel setup.
