I have been giving this some thought and have another possible solution. I have 1 Touch on the 1st floor my PC is on the 2nd floor connected wirelessly w a mediocre signal and I want an additional Touch in the basement. Running ethernet wiring is probably not an option. Earlier I spoke of getting powerline adapters to get a signal to the basement. My thought today is to use an Atom based netbook to run my 1 TB HDD and connect it to the 1st floor Touch and then move the netbook and HDD to the basement and connect to a 2nd Touch when desired. Is this logical, am I looking at significant lagtime when making the move and reconnecting given that neither Touch would then have internet access.
My thought process is that it would provide more flexibility and hopefully more certainty of things operating satisfactorily. More money but might be well worth it ? -- dasmueller ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dasmueller's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90640 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
