They look substantial and weigh over 53 lbs. each. I assume they are
rear-ported and they have enough cabinet volume to get down to the
(ported) 30Hz. I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to tweeters
made of metal (unless they are ribbons.)

I'd find them in a store and have a listen but I would be sure to have
all the other speakers they're likely to have them connected with off.
(Figuring out how to do that on a multichannel receiver might take a
while.)

Yamaha equipment tends to be well made and they are the only 'mid-line'
maker that still rates their amps at 20 to 20 rather than test tone at
1K.

I haven't seen any Yamaha speakers in a Best Buy for a while, which is
a good sign since all the stuff BB <and Circuit City>  sell is made
specifically for them.
