Actually I did mean the slider on the NowPlayingScreen. I just tested it and you're right, moving the slider button doesn't move the screen anymore. It does pop into the PlayerServerScreen when I hold my finger on the slider area (trying to make sure I'm hitting the control), so that's why I hadn't realize it had changed (I guess I figured that I was just getting better at hitting the control). But I can probably retrain myself not to do that.
On the PlayerServerScreen, the toggle popup Volume control at the bottom solves the problem. I had forgotten about the hardware buttons. They also work.
