The IP3K based products only support these codecs:
MP3, FLAC, Ogg/Vorbis, WMA (lossy), AIFF, WAV.

On the lossy codecs side, I guess you couldn't remove any of them
without breaking compatibility with online streaming services /
webradios.

On the lossless side, well:
- try removing FLAC support and I would force you eating an iPad
- try removing AIFF/WAV support (it's a one-fits-both codec, if I
remember correctly), and the audiophile people would whip you to death
with thousand dollars cables
