all, after some email contact with *bluegaspode* i reinstalled the squeezeplayer on my samsung galaxy nexus. At first it did not connect to my server, just as i reported earlier. Yet after a couple of minutes the connection came to live by itself, my phone was listed as a connect device on my squeezeboxserver and i'm listening to music streamed from my squeezeboxserver.
