SqueezeNetwork is just a server that Slim Devices runs to provide a reasonable user interface to managing your internet radio selections.

Ok, it's more than that too, it provides favorites management, sharing of favorites across players, 7-day alarm clock, RSS news, podcasts, live music archive access, web-based management from anywhere, and more. The difference between a standalone player and one that uses SqueezeNetwork is that the latter can be a LOT smarter and more useful.

All it requires is the same internet connection that you need to get to internet radio.

Would be nice if SqueezeBox does not need SqueezeNetwork to play
Internet stations at all, like Roku's SoundBridge.
