if she syncs to your server you get two streams, I don't think lms can diff between local or remote players.
Fyi the devs are implementing a scheme to make one squeezebox proxy for the other to make mysqueezebox.com sync better and use les bandwith on folks isp. You can ofcourse bitrate limit her players so she don't play 24/96 WAV files over the net :) Or just bitrate limit the radio, when synced lms is bound to use the stream both players can use so it will be the mp3 one .
