Hi All, I'm running the SlimServer and SoftSqueeze on a very old machine (a PII/266 with 384M of Ram). I've done a number of tweaks including installing Java 1.5 and the mp3plugin which helped the performance and make it fairly usable. However, there is, randomly, a skip every now and then. And I can induce a skip by moving windows around - which leads to a warning message from SoftSqueeze about a buffer underun.
Has anyone experimented with increasing the buffer size in SoftSqueeze and if so what value did you increase it to? I'm not really worried about any syncronization issues that might result... I'd rather have a large buffer and smoother playback.
