In my circles as well, Sonos is increasingly popular. I think the
openness of the slim platform is a big advantage (for instance, I like
iPeng better than anything for Sonos, and from what I understand, it's
a lot harder for anyone to write controller software for Sonos AND a
lot more of the smarts are in the actual Sonos boxes themselves).

This saddens me a bit, but I'm guessing that few to none of us will own
squeezeboxes or similar from Logitech in 5 years.
