The endless task of ripping my CDs has passed the 30,000 track mark, so
I'm thinking I should sort out a back up. I'd hate to have to do it
all again.

I was going to buy a second NAS drive, but they've tripled in price in
the last few months, I guess because of the floods in Thailand, so a
regular hard drive it will have to be.

It seems like a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone - it
would be great to have access to my music collection while I'm at work,
so my back-up would do for that. So the plan is to run Squeezeplay on
my work PC, plug the hard drive into a USB port and play some tunes.

So would that work OK? I seem to remember reading about problems
accessing a big library on an external hard drive, but perhaps that was
in other circumstances.

Thanks.
