I guess the product you are describing already exists today (a laptop). Personally I find the Touch display very good. Im about 2 3 meters away from it and the dispaly is readable enough. A larger display on the Touch would mean a larger device and that would make it too bulky. The alternative today is to use a remote like iPeng. With such a remote you have all the details right in the palm of your hands.
