This reminds me of friends in the 1990s saying, "computers are getting cheaper and better every year so I'll wait to buy one later." Taken to the extreme, these friends would have reached 2012 never having owned a computer. If your friend wants a high quality, inexpensive network music player, he should get a TOUCH now. Heck, I have two extra TOUCH players purchased on sale that I don't even use now stored as backups should something break in my other units (and at that time in the future, TOUCH players aren't available).
and besides, once you have a SB player, you are likely to figure out that you need more. So if a touch2 comes out, it can be added to your friend's system in some other use. Heck, I started out just wanting a BOOM as a bedside internet radio. See my signature for SB stuff now.... ;-) -- garym *Location 1:* VB Appliance 6TB (1.10) > LMS 7.7.1 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VB Appliance 3TB (2.0) > LMS 7.7.1 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.7.1 > SqueezePlay Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controllers: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94020 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
