The App will not look for the SB at all. That's not how controlling an SB works, SBs are always controlled through the server they are connected to. If the server doesn't see the SB, so will the controller.
You need to have the App connected to at least one server to even see it. One more remark: if you want to use any online services both servers and the SBs need to use the same MySB account.
