If it's caused by disturbances from external equipment or neighbor wifi network it might help to try to change which channel the WiFi router is configured to use, this improved the connection in my own setup previously when the Radio disconnected.
Also, the alarm handling in the Radio do have issues with bad network connection, it can work great when playing music as normal but when using the alarm a very short network problem will switch the alarm to the default alarm. Which version of SBS are you using now ? (you will find it in SBS Settings/Information) Which version did you use previously before you got the Radio when everything worked correctly ? Did you upgrade any antivirus, firewall or SBS/LMS software at the same time when it stopped working ?
