I paid $250 + tax. I don't think they were intentionally trying to "put one over" on me - They're a local audio/video retailer of good repute. They didn't even have a functional Squeezbox on display, and didn't know much about the units. Perhaps they don't know that newer versions are available?
They probably don't know much about them. If they're agreeable, maybe you can educate them. Heck, if you can get someone who's interested, maybe you can get one of them to actually see what it can do and get them as excited about them as we are here. :-)
