My strategy for extending the life of my devices is the autodim plugin which shuts off the screens when I'm asleep, so hopefully that will help them endure. I think I set up my radio using switch saver to do the same at one point.
My duet controller's battery died at one point, but once I ordered the replacement, somehow it came back to life before the replacement arrived and has been good since. The controller is cradled 99+% of the time (its basically an ersatz touch), so the actual battery life isn't tested much. I picked up an SB3 on the cheap one time from craigslist as when I went to buy it, the device wouldn't power on. I asked the seller to let me try to revive it. I took it home and removing the wifi card brought it back to life. We agreed the half the selling price and I replaced the card and we're good. Hopefully that will be the extent of my problems for a while. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sander's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96314 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
