Hi df9864, as mnyb already wrote: these folders are slow on all platforms. The only way to speed the browsing experience up, is to create some additional subfolders (like "A-F", "G-S", "T-Z"), so that each folder has a smaller set of items. It is not planned to cache the "By Folder" menu, as the philosophy of the Squeezebox is, that this is a "live" folder and that one does not need to rescan the library to access the latest items in this menu.
