I used to use an SMC router, though I'm not sure if it was that model (probably not as it was WEP only, no WPA). Two problems with it - it only supported Open System WEP (SB only supports Shared Mode) and it routinely dropped connections. However, it generally worked OK with the SB provided WEP was off.
