I have one of these. I use it as a bedroom alarm clock. I listen to BBC world service or Radio Paradise when I wake up. It plays all the BBC stations via Tunein radio. I think Tunein transcodes the streams to mp3, BBC stations have a delay before they start playing. The radio app is a little annoying, you have to start Tunein radio, then select presets, then scroll to the station you want to hear, and scrolling does not work that well since it has a resistive touch screen. It is reliable though. I have a squeezebox touch, not a squeezebox radio, but I wish the Archos had presets. I guess if I was to pick an internet radio, I would pas on the Squeezebox, since the future of Mysqueezbox is in doubt. I would pick the Archos, although it is a little too difficult to use. I may also look at the Sangean Internet radio, lloks like a nice unit, but I do not know if it can play BBC. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ malaugh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17610 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96695 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
