Apart from the SB’s in use (one SB 3, one SB Boom, one SB Radio and one
SB Touch) I won’t be buying any spare units. As much as I hate it, the
Squeezebox product is dead since the manufacturer dropped it. If for
some reason my Touch (the SB in the main listening area) would die
premature then I still have the option of using iPeng as an SB
replacement. I concither this route as my current backup plan if
disaster happens in the short term.

In the longer run, I hope that there will be a valid alternative product
available. Besides the fact that I still like my current SB lineup, I
don’t believe that investing in a dead product line is a sensible thing
to do. Technology is moving very fast these days. Who knows what new
technology / product will be available in the future. There is a good
chance that there will be something new that would make the current SB’s
look and feel “aged”.

And, I’m still too pissed at Logitech to feed them anymore of my money.
