However, it was the single most confusing point in iPeng, there was a surprisingly high number of users who did not get this and thought it switches the shuffle mode or that it means you can't play a list straight. It was the single most complained-about UI element! We tried several variants to do a more conclusive UI for this and didn't find one that doesn't eat up too much space. Apple does it with a button, but we needed that space for the play mode and also Apple scrolls away the header which we didn't want because it gives you quick access to the album context menu. That's the "you can't make it right for everybody" case. At least: if you play the Album from the context menu, the shuffle mode will stay unchanged so it will still be on if it was before. > > If the volume is locked on a player (when using as a remote) please hide > the volume slider and move the transport controls down. > To show what instead? Do you mean the skip ones? They are huge (actually bigger than Apple's), I'm sure you can't miss them. > > The multiplayer control is still about as confusing as it always was. Also, could you please elaborate? I don't really understand what you mean by "you can't tell players apart" and "other people are completely lost" (the feedback I'm getting so far is overwhelmingly to the contrary) and I don't know what you mean by "grouping/delineation" at all. I'm happy to discuss this, but a "everything is crap, make it better, I'm not gonna tell you what I mean" level is not a discussion I'm getting into. This about as complex as a UI problem as they get so please if you want to discuss this, add suggestions. I do remember well the last ones I got from you, none of which was workable and all of which just focused on your personal use cases regarding everything other people used as "unnecessary". That doesn't solve anything. > > Swiping left and right on the Now Playing screen should stop when it > reaches the last screen on the right or left. The current wrapping is > unexpected. > For you. It has nothing to do with the graphics, there is no way to change the text color in the main menu and black text on black background doesn't look good. I would have to remove the configurable buttons at the bottom of the screen, a feature most users value a lot. Complain to Apple, I filed that radar 4 years ago. > > As a future update, consider support for LRC format lyrics and the > ability to display the current position with the lyrics - bouncing-ball > or karaoke style. Soundhound has the funds to pay at least 30K$ per year for this because they are being OWNED by a content company, I don't. If you guarantee me to cover the cost, I'll do this in the very next release, I would LOVE that feature. We've discussed this at least a dozen times here, it doesn't change the world to bring it up over and over again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96749 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
