As Erland says this is not from an official source just because the UE 10 beta can be started with two separate startup scripts one for UE and one for LMS functionality is an heroic effort by the devs probably doable because of the code similarity ( UE is a modified LMS ) and old code can *for now* coexist . I think our vortexbox friend does a very positive *interpretation* of this fact . Who knows if the devs are allowed to keep doing this or they will have the time, and technically develop UE in such a way that it is squeezebox compatible in the future ? One advantage of dumping legacy support is that you can do something new , Logitech migth pursue this route who knows ? But our little rumour mill starts to look like kremlinology from the cold war :) Most of us does not know anything , it can be so that some third party devs have more unofficial info than us users , but probably only people that would not spill the beans on the forum , and again even that could be useless in the end . ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97029 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
