I have some questions about this. Is this limitation due to the DAC chips (AKMs I believe) in the Transporter or is it to do with the. software which interfaces with the music source (in my case a dedicated server which I manage using iTunes running on an iBook). If its the former, could the limitation therefore be overcome by using the digital out from the Transporter to feed an external DAC that can handle hi Rez files?
