That's one of the reasons I beta'd 6.2, just to help. It is flat out hard to test well and under appreciated. This probably belongs over on dev, does perl have an equivalent to JUnit? It is non-trivial (to nearly impossible) to retrofit testing into big complex software, perhaps a suitable goal for 7.* Adding all the skins and plugins makes a hard task much harder.
