I've built r192 which enables the coreaudio pro mode Triode mentioned. My receiver now shows the sample rate changing when the source file sample rate changes. With r158 the rate never changed. I'm using an optical cable from the mac to receiver. I can also play DTS encapulated flac files with r192, which didn't work for me in the previous versions.
